General Tour

If you want to enjoy the visit at your own pace, choose the Unguided Tour. You can do this with the help of a map, explanatory panels in two languages (Spanish and English) and our video guides (available in Spanish and English. Ask for information at the ticket office. Price: €5).
We have audio guides (in five European languages), the price of which varies depending on the type: Virtual (downloadable) €3 and Physical (with device) €5.
You will be able to access all rooms except the Neo-Gothic palace, which is a private residential area.
The different themes and projections you will encounter during the tour will immerse you directly in the different phases of the history of our great fortress. Among others, there is a projection about the life of the 12th Count of Torralva and his building project, as well as the documentary ‘Historia de un sueño’ (Story of a Dream).
The unguided tour of the castle can be complemented with a stroll through the Moat Garden, which is divided into areas according to vegetation type (Oriental, High Mountain, Mediterranean, Tropical and Floral), ending at the impressive castle viewpoint.
- Audiovisual space
We offer audiovisual presentations and models that allow visitors to learn about the history, from its origins in the Arab period to periods of siege and peace
- Theatrical spaces
Themed rooms you can enjoy include the dungeon, the armoury, the sword exhibition and the Throne Room in the Keep.

School tour

Merlón, the court jester, along with the rest of the inhabitants who live in the castle: minstrels, prisoners, magicians, knights, jesters and kings will take you on a magnificent adventure in which you will become part of the castle’s history.
The ladies and knights of the court will be your hosts and show you all the rooms, tell you all the stories and battles that took place here many years ago, and guide you through every corner of the fortress.
The dramatised tour is undoubtedly the star attraction of all our tourist products. Aimed especially at nursery and primary schools, it enables pupils to learn through playing with history. The ladies of the court and the different characters who inhabit the castle, as well as His Majesty King Pedro I, will help the little ones understand the ways of life and customs of the Middle Ages, giving them an unforgettable adventure. This visit is designed and studied to reinforce what is learned at school, as we adapt to the system or project worked on in class. It takes place during the school year, from Monday to Friday.
We also have vending machines selling snacks and sweets, as well as a souvenir shop.
